MJOP Project Manager

My client is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm based in Belgium and looking for long-term collaboration with freelancers in their Project Manager team.

The Project Manager MJOP will be part of the asset team and responsible for creating, managing, and improving multi-year maintenance plans (MJOPs) for civil structures and architectural assets. The focus is on renovating industrial structures and capturing and structuring complaints and opportunities arising from the operational environment. There is an overview of notifications/projects to work on, but the Project Manager must also take initiative to identify, analyse, and convert these opportunities into concrete project proposals.

Examples include: corrosion issues in steel structures, cracks in walls, renovation of a space, and smaller interventions.

Primary Tasks and responsibilities

• Drafting and managing MJOPs, including overseeing the resulting civil projects from concept to execution
• Creating cost overviews and analyses of all maintenance notifications within your scope
• Stakeholder consultation and decision-making on the best solutions
• Developing these solutions and implementing them together with the execution team (designer, site manager, contractor)
• Critically evaluating proposed solutions for long-term sustainability

Technical profile requirements

• Engineering degree (civil or industrial engineer)
• 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager for industrial projects
• Experience as a Civil (Project) Engineer
• Demonstrable experience with renovation/restoration on industrial sites
• Demonstrable experience in drafting and managing MJOPs
• VCA
• Fluent in Dutch and English
